- We’ve known about KiCoco for a while now, but every time we see their clothing, we become even more obsessed!
- The owner, Angeliz Venter (24) is inspired by kids and coconuts around the world and got the idea for the name from her favourite island, Reunion Island.
The busy businesswoman started KiCoco while studying for her
B. Consumer Science: Clothing Retail Management degree at the University of Pretoria. She started making baby clothes as part of the 200 production hours needed to complete her qualification and soon realized that her clothing was a hit amongst local mommies.
In 2016 she started Little Gentlemen where she mainly focused on baby boy’s clothing but in August 2019 rebranded the business and changed the name to KiCoco. Today she specialise in baby, toddler, kids, and even adult clothing. And trust us… it’s all gorgeous!
“Our clothing is comfortable, affordable, and stylish. We have a 0% waste policy and all offcuts get repurposed into new designs, pillowcases, or stuffing,” Angeliz explains. All the clothing are also locally made.
The baby range has always been a best seller but lockdown has shown a demand in adult loungewear. KiCoco‘s loungewear is stylish yet super comfy and the perfect every-day outfit while working at home.
